Description

About The Palms at Estepona

The Palms at Estepona is a low-density scheme of 78 apartments on the western side of Estepona, the part of town that has been filling in over the past few years. Twenty-four homes are available, in one, two and three bedrooms. The planning is deliberately loose — buildings set apart, planting between them, green roofs on the communal blocks — and the terraces are curved rather than square, following the line of the coast.

Worth knowing before comparing prices here: ground-floor homes cost more than middle-floor ones of exactly the same size. A one-bedroom is 52 to 55 m² whether it sits on the ground floor or above, but the ground-floor ones carry a private garden, and the price follows the garden rather than the floor area. The same pattern repeats in the two and three-bedroom homes. Some apartments come with their own private pool. Interiors run 52 to 125 m², with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open the living space onto the terrace.

Amenities

  • Ground-floor homes cost more than middle-floor ones of identical size — the difference is a private garden
  • Some apartments have their own private pool
  • Heated indoor pool alongside the outdoor one
  • Curved terraces following the line of the coast, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors
  • Green roofs and layered planting through the communal areas
  • Electric underfloor heating in the bathrooms

Location — west Estepona

Estepona's west side runs from the old town towards the Sotogrande end of the coast, and it is where most of the town's new building has gone in recent years — quieter than the centre, with the coastal path linking the two along the shore. The sea is 414 metres from the site.

Estepona itself has kept more of a working Andalusian town about it than its neighbours along this coast: a real old quarter with painted flower pots on the walls, a fishing port that still lands fish, and a Saturday market. Puerto Banús is about twenty minutes east, Gibraltar a similar distance west, and Málaga airport a little over an hour along the AP-7.
