Residencial Alegria — 2 and 3-Bedroom Apartments in Central Guardamar

Residencial Alegria is a small new building in the middle of Guardamar del Segura, on a residential street about 600 metres from the town beach. There are only ten homes on five floors: two-bedroom apartments on the ground and middle floors, a handful of three-bedroom apartments with two bathrooms, and two penthouses at the top. With so few neighbours and a lift serving every floor, it has more the feel of a private townhouse block than a complex.

The apartments

Living rooms are open-plan, with the kitchen along one wall and fitted with appliances, and they open through full-height glazing onto a covered terrace — the curved, orange-lined balconies that give the façade its character. Bedrooms have built-in wardrobes; bathrooms come fitted, with walk-in showers and underfloor heating. Air conditioning is pre-installed and windows have electric blinds. The two penthouses add a private roof terrace each, laid out for outdoor living with a built-in barbecue counter and views over the rooftops towards the sea and the Sierra.

On the roof

The shared space is on the top of the building rather than in a garden: a long swimming pool edged with a stone-clad wall and tropical planting, a timber deck with sun loungers, and a solarium from which the sea is visible over the town.

Location — central Guardamar

The building sits in the town grid, with supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and schools within a few minutes' walk. The beach of Playa Centro is roughly a ten-minute stroll away, and the pine woods of Guardamar's dune park run behind the seafront.
