Residencial Vernissa is a small new-build terrace of houses in Les Marines, the flat sandy strip that runs north from Dénia towards El Verger. Each house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms across 129 to 134 m², and the sea is about 400 metres away — close enough to walk to the water with a towel rather than load the car. The houses

The layout is a straightforward two-storey terrace house: kitchen-lounge and a bathroom on the ground floor with the living room opening to the garden, bedrooms above with the main bedroom taking an en-suite. Location — Les Marines, Dénia

Les Marines is the part of Dénia people choose for the sand itself. The coast here is a long, unbroken run of fine-grained beaches backed by low dunes and pine — Almadrava, Els Molins, Punta del Raset — with none of the rock and cove landscape that begins south of the town at Les Rotes. It is flat, which makes it walkable and cyclable in a way the hillside parts of the Marina Alta are not.

El Verger and its everyday shops are about five minutes inland, the Portal de la Marina shopping centre and the AP-7 junction roughly ten, and the centre of Dénia with its castle, port and restaurant streets around twenty minutes south along the coast road. Alicante Airport is a little over an hour; Valencia is a similar distance in the other direction, which is worth knowing for owners flying in from the north.
