Puerto Marina is the centre of Benalmádena Costa: a 1980s marina built as a small town of islands and canals, with more than a thousand berths, restaurants and bars along the quays, and the Sea Life aquarium at its entrance. The building is a short walk from the port and about 450 m from Playa de Malapesquera, with the long Torrebermeja and Santa Ana beaches continuing east along the promenade to Torremolinos. The Benalmádena–Arroyo de la Miel suburban station is fifteen minutes on foot, giving direct trains to Málaga airport in twenty minutes and to the city centre in half an hour; the Tivoli World site and the cable car up Monte Calamorro are in Arroyo de la Miel above.
