Property for Sale on the Costa del Sol

The Costa del Sol runs along the Málaga coast of Andalusia, and its market is organised around one axis: Marbella and the stretch west of it. Estepona and the New Golden Mile carry most of the current new-build supply — sea-facing apartment resorts with landscaped grounds, half an hour from Málaga airport. Above the coast, Mijas and Benahavís offer hillside plots, golf and wider views for less per square metre than the seafront. East of Marbella, Fuengirola and Benalmádena are the denser, more urban end, where the beach, the coastal train and year-round services are within walking distance.

This is an apartment coast first. Almost everything we list here is a flat or a penthouse, and the great majority of it stays below the million — the further west of Marbella and the further back from the sea, the more your budget buys. Villas are a separate market: they begin where apartments end and run up through the Golden Mile and the Benahavís hills into the multi-million bracket, where the plot and the view, rather than the house, set the price.

Almost all of our Costa del Sol selection is new-build or off-plan, delivered to current technical code — aerothermal climate systems, A-rated insulation — and often still customisable if reserved early in construction.
